Family Times
My love for travel started at a young age, as mentioned in
previous posts my mom emigrated to the United States in the mid 1980’s, because
of this we as a family spent a good amount of our summers in Ireland with our
family. Family is extremely important to not only myself but also my parents
and siblings this is why whenever we can we try to take family vacations.
My dad can’t handle the heat, we have never gone to the Bahamas
or really anywhere where the ocean is your relief from the sun, so we spent our
vacations going to the not so obvious location. That is where this dream
catcher makes its way into the narrative. In the summer of 2004, my family and I
travelled to the mid-west and stopped in North and South Dakota as well as
Wyoming. In Wyoming is where I collected my long-treasured dream catcher. The idea
of the dream catcher is that while your sleeping your bad dreams filter through
the catcher and it keeps you safe. Whenever
I see it the memories of the times my family have spent together come flooding
back, my family is a dream catcher of its own and I am so glad that I had the
opportunity to grow up in that environment.
