Sister Friends

If you knew me in real life you would know that my sister and I are extremely close, she’s the Wallace to my Gromit. Of course, we have not always been this way, growing up we would often get under each other’s nerves like many siblings do. But despite our childish bickering we always had things that connected us, things that we could always fall back. One of those things was our shared love for Archie Comics, our dad was the one that got us into the comics when he brought home the  Archie and Denis the Menace comics he used to read as a kid and gave them to us.
After reading through what our dad gave to us, we headed to the grocery store and were able to get some of our own Archie Comics. Getting an Archie comic became a tradition, each time we went to the grocery store with one of our parents we would get an Archie comic. I can’t remember the price or when we eventually stopped buying them, but I still vividly remember reading them as fast as we could so that we could get another. I haven’t seen an Archie Comic in a grocery store checkout in years but whenever I see one of the comics at my parents’ house it brings me back to the times my sister and I spent together reading hundreds of comics.
